Bangkok

At Bangkok, we practically shopped everyday and went massage for the last 3 days.

The hotel is located above their famous Platanium mall and shopping was convenient. The hotel room is beautiful and there is gym and swimming pool. There have cabs and Tutu, the Tutu was 3 wheeled and fun. The driver just cut lanes and go at fast speed. When taking Tutu, is like taking a roller coaster. In Bangkok, 3 lines that looks like zebra crossing is not a zebra crossing. Cars do not stop, till someone is dare enough to cut through and everyone follow. The worst part is walking side by side with cars and cutting through roads. Suprisingly, the cars do not hone you and there were no accidents. Bangkok is a shopping paradies, however, at nights homeless people sleep in fornt of shops and roam around, people or children begging on the streets. It was a sad sight, the rich gets richer and poor gets poorer. Sometimes i wonder, why life doesn't treat all of us the same..why others have to suffer more.

Clothes and food at Bangkok is cheaper than in Singapore. The weather there is super hot, at the chatuchak market it only opens on the weekend. Imagine Bugis street but is 10 times bigger, we accomplished waliking the area in 4 hours :) There sells yummy coconut ice cream.

Mango sticky rice is refreshing and delicious

The duck noodle at the roadside store, is 10 times nicer. The noodle taste different and the soup is full of flavour

On the second last day, we had desserts for dinner @ Mr Jones Orphanage
The cafe is beautifully layout, it has a teddy bear theme. It is filled with yellow and blue ballons, teddy bears and wooden horses. On the second floor, it was like a treehouse with low ceilings and wooden tables. The cakes they have are interesting and unique. They have a table filled with cakes and macaroons :) Is like a mini piece of heavens, is like a girl's dream. We spend $130 on cakes and drinks, and its their anniversary so we had 2 cute bears :) and i took the white one heheh

Overseas thoughts

8-11 August was company first overseas trip. First time, National day I wasn't in Singapore.
Overall the trip was fun but tiring haha. One thing scary about going overseas is you will get to know a person better and know their true colour. I thought I was the only one to think that way, but my boss told me the same thing too. I am glad I am the still same me.

My supervisor is till the same her and she takes care of others hahah especially me i think. However, my room mate Candy, was more aloof.

I know the designer better too, he was quite direct and can be quite funny at times, usually i thought he was a chill and cool guy showing little expression but deep down he was humorous and cares for others. For the returned trip, his seat was beside me and my supervisor asked " ehh you all want swap sits anot?" She worried we will be awkward, but he replied " don't need lah, I treat her like my own sister." I was suprised at his response, initially i was worried it will be weird but through the flight it was alright. Throughout the trip he took care of us, his care was in a cool and indirect way. Somehow through the trip, we became closer and i realised he was such a nice guy.

The rest of my colleagues are still the same :)

In the group, there were 5 girls and all 5 of us had different characters which made it hard for us to hang out together. For the guys, there are 5 of them too but with 4 different characters. Can feel that many of us are trying to be tolerant to avoid conflicts haha but there are times where there are sacastic moments.

Going shopping with girls, made me and candy felt that we aren't girls. The time they spent in a shop is close to 1 hour and the clothes and shoes they bought were more than us. They have many make ups stuff while me and candy have just our shampoo and soap haha. That's how i feel when I was in Taiwan too.

Zoo & River Safari

21st July, went to Zoo! Ever since i was in primary school.

It was company outing and it has been the healthiest outing so far that doesn't involve drinking.
Ever since joining the company, i have been drinking more often.

Zoo had changed alot, it seems less smelly and more animals.
Looking at the animals in the zoo, I feel sad for them. They looked sian and sad, especially the elephants.
Somehow humans are cruel, kidnap them for our self entertainment.

River Safari is a new feature at the zoo, it was beautiful. Looking at the Pandas :) and a big aquarium that contains seals and fishes. It was a relaxing, to see the fishes swiming in the big blue aquarium with air con and soothing music.
After a while, brain will shut and mind stop thinking for once.

The outing was tiring but fun :D

Next company trip is THAILAND!!!! Cant WAIT!!
I am the luckiest intern ever <3

Beer Feast!!

My awesome boss decided that my farewell party will be at Beer Feast 2013.

Yesterday was my first time going to Beer Feast
It was awesome, tasted lots of beer and by 11pm i was tipsy haha
My mind went blank i felt like sleeping, lean on the beer jars. My supervisor was sweet, she lend me her arms :)
Lucky, my boss sent me back home and offered to hold me and carry my bag :)

So not gonna be drunk again.

haha but sweet beers are my favourite!
